Prepare your taste buds for a delightful adventure on this food tour of Amsterdam. You'll have the chance to savor a wide range of local delicacies as you tour this fascinating city.

Description

Our journey commences as we gather at Vijzelstraat 5-A at the scheduled time. Following a brief introduction, we'll embark on a guided tour of Amsterdam that combines history and gastronomy. Along the way, we'll pass by some of the city's most renowned landmarks, including the Bloemenmarkt (flower market), the Begijnhof, Amsterdam's Royal Palace, the iconic Torensluis Bridge, Anne Frank's house, and the charming Jordaan district.

Between stops, we'll make visits to a variety of street food vendors and market stalls, where you'll have the opportunity to participate in a total of 8 delectable tastings. While the specific offerings may vary depending on availability and the season, you can expect a diverse array of Dutch specialties, such as crispy Dutch fries, fried fish, herring, grilled cheese, Dutch cheese, apple pie, sweet poffertjes (mini pancakes), and stroopwafels (syrup waffles).

As you savor these treats, you'll also discover fascinating culinary facts about the Netherlands. Plus, our guide will share intriguing anecdotes about Amsterdam, a captivating city that owes much of its charm to its picturesque canals.

Following this memorable 3.5-hour tour, we'll conclude our culinary exploration in the delightful Jordaan district.
